Great fit! I really love high waisted jeans and these are perfect for me since I wanted a snug fit at the waist but a loose fit from there down. And since it's black denim, I can easily use it as a semi-formal outfit as well. I am a little shorter than 5'4 but the 26 size length was perfect for me- the edge touched the bottom of my heels (without shoes) which was the length I wanted. The material is thick and it kind of make fold lines around the crotch area but that is something I find is common in high rise pants. Not sure how it'll hold up to the washing since this is my first buy but hopefully it'll be okay.
